Introducing our newest event series "Corks and Canapes"

A number of you have expressed an interest in receiving the VINtwined experience but are unable to commit to a full set menu. So we have created a new event series "Corks and Canapes" to provide a bite-sized VINtwined experience. In partnership with the Dead Dolls House (Upper Street, Islington), we will be putting on wine tasting events with carefully matched nibbles bi-weekly on Wednesday evenings.

Hosted in the beautiful Library Room at DDH, Neil will guide you through a flight of wines chosen to exemplify the chosen theme for the evening. Delivered in VINtwined's high quality yet informal and informative style, Neil will share his passion for wine in a way that will be both titillating and educational without being overly technical. Though if technical is what you're after, Neil is a massive wine geek so more than happy to go deep; perhaps over a drink at the bar after the session.

The first four dates and themes have been confirmed:

19th April: Introduction to wine tasting - If you are new to wine or want to find out how the pro's assess wines this an event for you. Through a series of comparison tastings we will explore how to critically assess a wine and discuss the principle factors that effect wine quality.

3rd May: Wines of the Loire - There's far more to the Loire than Sancerre (though Sancerre is delicious obviously). In this session we will go from the maritime climate of the Nantais following the Loire River to the Central Vineyards of Sancerre and Quincy meeting the Loires main grape varieties as we go. A zippy and refreshing session perfect for the spring.

17th May: Languedoc-Rousillon - In the past, the Languedoc has been associated with cheap table wines and 20-30 years ago that was true. These days the average consumer has higher expectations and the best producers from this region have massively risen to the challenge. This is a vast region with a vast assortment of grapes, blends and styles on offer, Neil will be showing some of his favourites

31st May: English wines - It's English wine week so naturally we are going to show you the wonders that are grown on our own shores. If you don't get an opportunity to try VINtwined's "this is English" pop-up restaurant series you can get a bite-sized piece of the experience right here featuring some of the most popular wines from the series

I hope you are able to make one (or many) of these sessions

Final tickets remaining for "This is English!"

It's hard to believe, but we have only two dates left for our English wine experience and tickets are selling out fast. We have 10 spaces left for our April event and 11 spaces left for our May event. If you're keen to try this out (of course you are, it's delicious) then I would book soon to avoid disappointment.

The next two dates are going to be even better then the first as we will be getting into the summer months, that means daylight when you arrive so you might actually see the farm (through the window mind; there's eating and drinking to be done). Not only that but we have completely changed the menu to welcome the new season, also because Neil had more wines that he wanted to show!

The remaining events are taking place on the 15th April and 27th May.

Tickets for "Corks and Canapes" and "This is English!" can be purchased through the links at www.vintwined.com (Where you will also see a little teaser about what's coming next)
